Top Ten Tips.

1. Don't assume the cheapest lessons are the best value for money. Concentrate on the quaility of the lessons rather than the cost,you will receive better value for your money in the long run.

2. Check out how long a 'lesson' really is. Some driving schools offer cheaper lessons but they are normally less than an hour long, or pick up and drop off other pupils during your lesson time. (all our lessons are a full hour, we never car share and never pick up during lessons).

3. Make sure your instructor is DSA approved and has a green badge in the window of their car to prove they are a fully qualified Driving Standards Agency instructors. A pink licence means the instructor is classed as a trainee and has not finished their last exam to teach. All our instructors are fully quailified.

4. Check that the car you'll drive has dual controls and is in good condition.

5. Register on line for the new FREE theory training package to help with your theory test,or purchase one of the many theory test training CD Rom's.

6. Make sure your instructor keeps a record of your progress using the drivers log book.

7. Apply for your theory test as soon as you feel ready for the test.

8. Agree with your instructor when to apply for your practical test (remember you need to pass your theory and hazard perception tests first).

9. Taking at least an hour a week, preferably two, of regular lessons with your instructor will enable you to make the best progress and get you to a constant standard required to pass the test. Your instructor will be able to advise you on how much training you should need.

10. Make sure your you speak with your instructor before booking your practical test to ensure the car is available on the day of your test and not already booked out with another pupil .
