Become a Driving Instructor The Right Attitude driving school is quickly becoming one of the top highly rated driving schools in the Kent.
Here at The Right Attitude driving school we offer driving instructor training along with Driving lessons and
advanced driver training. Most of our driving school instructors started off by coming to the school to be trained as driving instructors, and where so happy with their training they joined the school, and although we can never 100% guarantee a placement within the school once you qualify, It is of course, in our best interests to have only the best working for us at The Right Attitude driving school. We will do our upmost to offer you a place within the driving school once you have qualified (subject to terms and conditions).
You can be assured that you will be trained to the very high standards that we set and require all our driving instructors to be within the school.
We have highly experienced driving instructor trainers who will help you acquire the skills of a good driving
instructor. You will soon realize that it is one thing to be a good driver and it is completely different thing to be a
driving instructor. To be a good instructor you will need the best training and that is what we do. Our training
programs will include personal study, driving instructor practice sessions with the driving instructor trainer and
coaching and feed back meetings. Depending on your commitment and time availability, the duration of your training will vary ‘depending on available test dates’ and is broken down into parts 1,2 and 3. You will be able to reduce the entire span of the course by taking up Theory and driving parts together.
Having the necessary qualifications to become a driving instructor is only the start. Our continued training will help you become an excellent instructor who will be able to train and motivate your pupils. You will be trained to develop personalized lesson plans to suit the requirements of your individual students, but still following the DSA syllabus. We consider it our responsibility to help you become not just a good driving instructor but also a successful
franchisee, Should you wish to join our Driving school.
After the successful completion of the course with The right Attitude driving school and getting your ADI licence, you will be able to operate as a fully qualified ADI and if you wish join The Right Attitude driving school as a
Franchisee in your desired area (subject to terms and conditions).
To become a Driving Instructor you will be required to pass 3 exams commonly known as part 1, part 2 and part 3.
Part 1 is a multiple choice test of theoretical knowledge and also includes a hazard perception test.
Part2 is a test of driving ability and lasts about 1 ½ hours, it’s conducted on a variety of roads, including town,
residential, dual carriageways and motorways.
Part3 is a test which is separated into two halves, an examiner will role play a learner in phase 1 that is either a
complete beginner or partly trained and you will be expected to train this person for 30 minutes in a preset task. For the second part (phase 2) of this test the examiner will role play either a pupil who is a few weeks away from taking a driving test, a failed test candidate or a full license holder who requires refresher training (normal role play would be some one returning to UK after living abroad or a fearful person having been involved in a car accident) and will be considered trained but may have some issues/ faults within their driving which you will be required to correct.
Each exam has to be taken separately starting at part 1 and in order ie, 1, 2 then 3. You can have as many attempts at part 1 as you wish, but once you have passed part 1 you have two years from this date to complete part 2 and 3 and you are only allowed three attempts at part 2 and part 3.
